WHAT IS ANIME? As defined in http://www.merriam-webster.com, "anime is a style of animation originating in Japan that is characterized by stark colorful graphics
depicting vibrant characters in action-filled plots often with fantastic
or futuristic themes".
When I was in grade school, anime for me is boring. I don't even watch anime by that time because I thought I won't enjoy watching it. I described anime as an exaggerating TV show. I only said that because I was ignorant of anime. But when I went in high school, I changed my mind. Anime is very fantastic and very addicting. It is because my friend, who is already an avid fan of anime, introduced it to me and I started to enjoy watching it. My first anime series that I watched was Ouran High School Host Club. I really enjoyed watching this anime because it is very funny, the characters are very cute and the quality of this anime is really good. I was surprised that I enjoyed watching it, and after that, I started to get addicted to it that almost everyday of my summer vacation I watched at least 3-5 episodes of an anime series. I even wasted my allowance just to buy anime DVDs. Almost all my friends are anime addicts and we would talk all about anime almost everyday. Anime brings happiness to me but not all the time I would seek happiness from anime.
For 3 years until now, I'm still an anime addict and I am proud of it. For me, my life won't be complete without anime. Anime is already a part of my lifestyle and my life.
